Don't let complicated equipment get in the way of simply enjoying the visual exploration of the Earth and stars. With the Orion VersaGo E-Series 90mm Altazimuth Refractor Telescope, it won't. Because this versatile telescope with its intuitive single-arm mount will let you navigate land, sea, and sky effortlessly — the way it should be.

The VersaGo E-Series 90mm Altazimuth Refractor Telescope features a 90mm-aperture (3.5") achromatic refractor telescope that will reveal distant subjects in stunning detail. The whole family will be enthralled by close-up views of the Moon's cratered surface, the ringed planet Saturn, and wispy deep-space nebulas such as the iconic Orion and Lagoon nebulas. The VersaGo's 45-degree correct-image diagonal means you can also gaze at sailboats across the lake and get a normal, correctly oriented view, unlike with a standard "star" diagonal in which the view is mirror reversed. The two included 1.25" eyepieces are Plossl designs — optically superior and boasting a wider field of view than the Kellner or Huygenian eyepieces you get with competing 90mm refractors. The 25mm Plossl eyepiece lets you scan at low 24x power, while the 10mm Plossl eyepiece boosts the magnification to 60x for higher-power study. Both eyepieces have fully anti-reflection coated lenses to ensure excellent light transmission, and their barrels are threaded to accept Orion filters. And finding target objects to observe is easy with the included red dot finder scope.

The VersaGo E-Series altazimuth mount lets you quickly maneuver the telescope horizontally and vertically, and dual micro-motion cables allow precise centering and tracking of distant targets. The sturdy aluminum tripod features a clip-in accessory tray with holes to keep 1.25" eyepieces and accessories at the ready. The whole instrument weighs under 12 lbs., so it's a breeze to transport to your favorite observing site.

In addition to the standard accessories this kit also includes a solar filter to allow you to safely view eclipses and sunspots and a moon filter to reduce the moon's glare and bring out exciting features.

Orion assures that all solar filters are tested at specialized labs that are accredited to verify compliance with the ISO 12312-2 safety specifications for solar viewing.

Explore the fun of daytime astronomy with the included Safety Film Solar Filter.

In addition to stargazing at night, you can also use the Versago 90mm during daytime hours thanks to the included Safety Film Solar Filter, which lets you safely observe sunspots as they march across the surface of our nearest star. The solar filter rejects all harmful light from the Sun, while allowing a very small fraction of light to pass through, so you can safely enjoy the fun of daytime solar astronomy.

This solar filter is designed and manufactured in the USA.

Cut the Moon's glare to see more detail on its surface with the included Orion E-Series Moon Filter.

The Orion E-Series 1.25" 13% Transmission Moon Filter reduces glare and boosts contrast so you can see enjoy more detailed views of lunar surface features. It blocks excessively bright glare to provide a more comfortable view of the Moon's surface, the neutral density filter will not alter the natural color of the Moon and the eyepiece filter transmits only 13% of the incoming light, improving contrast and detail.

The included MoonMap 260 lets you learn the names of craters and other features on the Moon.

The easy to use Versago E-Series 90mm comes with the useful Orion MoonMap 260. You'll enjoy looking at the Moon with the telescope, then using the MoonMap 260 to learn the official names of the interesting craters, mountains, and other features you've seen. It will even show you where various spacecraft have landed on the Moon's surface! It's a terrific resource for beginning astronomers!

What are you waiting for? Get the VersaGo E-Series 90mm Altazimuth Refractor Telescope today and see how easy and fun it is to enjoy superb daytime or nighttime views.
