When making your own slides for viewing specimens with a microscope, this box of 100 cover slides (sometimes called cover slips) are used to cover and protect the specimen on the slide, to keep it pressed flat, and to keep liquid samples formed to a thin and uniform thickness. It also protects the microscope objective lenses from making contact with the specimen. Dimensions: 0.87? x 0.87?, and 0.006? thick. Made of optical glass for superior clarity.
