Comments about Celestron Tripod - for Celestron Spotting Scopes:
Tripod works fine, easily supports weight up to 10 pounds. However, tripod is not very stable, transmits vibrations very easily to telescope and vibrations persist for about 4 seconds. However, if you need a cheap, portable tripod like me, it does the job well.
Q1: Will this tripod work with the Sky Master model 71007 binoculars? Thanks for your reply. Morgan Cox
A: Yes, the Celestron tripod will work just fine with the 12x60 Sky Masters. The binoculars come with an L-mount tripod adapter to make the connection with the tripod.
Q2: I am looking for a sturdy but fairly compact tripod for my newly purchased Zhummell 25x100 binoculars. My origional tripod can not handle the 9 pound binos and will not point any where near the zenith. What are my options and what would be the cheapest
A: We recommend the Zhumell Heavy Duty Tripod for the Tachyon 25x100 binoculars. It can take the weight and remain stable. Here's the URL; just paste it into your browser's address window: http://telescopes.com/products/zhumell-heavy-duty-tripod-31057.html.
