I am 6'2" and have had my spine fused in two spots. Bending down is all but impossible now and I had given up on being able to observe the night sky. With the extension capability of this tripod I not only can stand and observe but am able to get to those overhead sights that were impossible to adjust to with a standard tripod. Sturdy, easy to adjust, quick mount and dismount of different optics, and swivel, this equipment has been a life saver. Could not recommend more

This is a good solid mount,But it lost 2 points. The first point was lost due to the quick release plate that comes with the tripod has to much play...this can be fixed by getting the heavy duty quick release plate its about $14.00usd.

The second point was lost due to raising the center part of the tripod, you have to ajust it by hand(twist and lift)if you have 25X100 binoculars it can be heavy.Should have used a handle to ajust it up or down.

But it is still a good mount for my Zhumell 25X100 Binoculars.

Comments about Zhumell Astronomical Binoculars Tripod:

As a budding backyard astronomer, I needed the heavy artillery to support my Zhumell Tachyon 25x100s, and this does the job nicely. Sturdy but not too heavy, I can have these out and in use in seconds. Good height adjustment options, so they are easier on the back when looking through those giant binos. This tripod would also likely support many types of video and photo equipment, as it is rated to a support of 25 lbs. The only negatives I can think of are 1) as has been mentioned, the central post could use a crank system (a minor complaint), and 2) the tripod storage bag came with a hole in it. The sellers have agreed to replace it, but I have yet to receive it, and I hope I do not have to send everything back to the manufacturer and do without my tripod for six weeks just for a replacement nylon bag. The case for my Tachyons was also dinged up badly. I don't know what it is about Zhumell, their products are fantastic (so far), but their carrying cases/bags seem to not be subject to the same quality control.

Comments about Zhumell Astronomical Binoculars Tripod:

We previously ordered a tripod that was discontinued. Spoke with your customer service rep and he suggested this tripod. It was even better than pictured and works perfectly with our Celestron Ultima 100 Spotting Scope. We live on the hillside in Malibu with a view of Catalina, Palos Verdes, Manhattan Beach, LAX and the Santa Monica Pier. Plus the ocean view and all the dolphins, whales and birds are a constant joy to us. We use the scope and tripod everyday.

                Thanks
