          I find this tripod to be a great deal. I use it for a spotting scope, wild life scopes, and camera /photos. I bought it as a backup, but found it to be better then my other tripod that cost me[$] I'm thinking of buying another while the price is right.

            I recently purchased a quality spotting scope, that unfortunately came with a poorly manufactured tripod. After trying to correct it, because of it's equally poor design, it could not be. I wound up throwing it away, and replaced it with the Carson. "Like a Rock", this little tripod holds my scope steady, sets up easily, is compact, and is quality constructed! At a fair price, what more could you ask for in terms of great value?!

            Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
