Spyglass, Padded Case
Your own pirate's telescope!
Hearken to the days of yore when pirates roamed the Spanish Main! Pace the heaving quarterdeck of a triple-decked ship of the line beating to windward in a half gale.
Blackbeard himself might have swept the horizon in search of treasure ships with a telescope like the Zhumell Bring 'em Near 25x30 Pirate Spyglass.
Old Meets New
Indeed, with its burnished brass barrels and collapsible design, the Zhumell Bring 'em Near 25x30 Pirate Spyglass evokes images of the old sea dogs. But in many ways, it's strictly modern:
The Zhumell Bring 'em Near Pirate Spyglass extends to a full 13 inches, but collapses to 5.5 inches to fit into its own padded case with belt loop and wrist strap. Best of all, it's covered by a 25-year, no-fault warranty!
So, with your spyglass in hand, relive the days of drumming sail and shivering timbers. Remember, though, that Blackbeard never had a glass so good.
Your new Zhumell Bring 'em Near 25x30 Pirate Spyglass offers the perfect blend. It puts 21st-century optics into 17th-century form.

I enjoy nature. Out running around, be it City, Forest or Ocean, it nice to have a camera to take a once in a lifetime shot or a compass to see a direction, and having this little treasure is a great addition to my utility belt of grab and go's.Not a lot of extra weight to hang on my waist. My Scope has a nice clear view and does well for my purposes.Shipping could not been faster! Hoping to get a few extras as Gifts, now that I had time to check it out.I did put a Lens Cloth in the case as a padding where the metal brads are. It an OK case, but, I try to find something a little nicer and maybe make some lens caps.Nice for viewing the cleavages along the Beach for a safe Harbor, Arrrrggggg!! ;~p

The spyglass looks amazing in the gold-bronze finish and would be great as decoration, but my Bushnell 16x25 binoculars seem to magnify just as well as the spyglass with much more ease. The spyglass is hard to focus and difficult to hold steady when looking through, definitely not for bird watching. If you have 25 dollars to spend, don't fall for this gorgeous looking spyglass like I did. Find something else with at least 16 magnification. You may have to spend 10-15 dollars more, but it will be worth it. To summarize, if you are looking for a real working, nicely constructed spyglass for a costume, decoration, etc. then this is the nicely built, sturdy spyglass for you. However, if you are looking to actually use this outside to look at on-the-move nature, sporting games, etc. then a spyglass is not for you.

Q1: Are the lens made of glass or plastic?
A: The lenses in the Pirate scope are made of Glass.
Q2: What is the best/strongest dimension (25x 30, etc) for general viewing at a range of 75 feet to 300? Thank you.
A: With the Bring em Near Pirate spyglass it has a fixed magnification of 25X the naked eye. The 30 after the X is the diameter in millimeters of the objective lens of the spyglass.
Q3: Is it waterproof ?
A: No I am sorry, it is not Waterproof.
Q4: Is there a case or box that is provided with the Spyglass 25 X 30? The lens must need to be protected when carried, correct? Is there a lens cap if not a case? If there is no lens cap can you provide one that will fit as an after market item?
A: It actually includes a very nice leather carrying case with it, which will protect the body of the scope as well as the lenses.
Q5: What is the field of view?
A: The Pirate Spyglass has a field of view of 57.75 feet at 1,000 yards.
