Q1: I want to know whether this reducer uses for meade lxd 75 SC8" Or Not
A: Yes this focal reducer can be used with an Meade LX series telescope it threads on to the rear cell of all Meade LX-Series mirror-lens telescopes
Q2: How does this focal reducer attach to the Meade DSI? The DSI has a 1 and 1/4 adapter and the variable T adapter with the focal reducer appears to be much wider? Is the diagonal not used with this setup?
A: this does not attach to the DSI itself it Threads on to the rear cell of all Meade LX-Series mirror-lens telescopes. you would then thread teh diagonal to it and the DSI in the diagonal.
Q3: I would like to know if 3.3 reducer can be used with flip-mirror for locating and corrections
A: You could but there would be no reason as all a Focal reducer is designed to allow you to do is shorten your F/Ratio for imaging.
Q4: Hello, I like to no if this focal reducer will work with a meade etx-90 and the dsi?
A: Yes, it will. Meade has just come up with an adapter that will allow SCT accessories to be attached to ETX-series scopes. Attach the adapter to the scope and the focal reducer/field flattener to the adapter, and you have it! To see the adapter, just paste this URL into your browser's address window: http://telescopes.com/products/Meade_ETX_Back_Cell_Adapter_to_SCT_Thread_43547.html.
Q5: Why is it not recommended to use focal reducer for visual applications?
A: We recommend against using the focal reducer for visual applications because your eye does not have the same optical qualities as a camera. As a result, everything will be indistinct.
