AUTOALIGN
For added ease of use, this telescope model comes pre-aligned through AutoAlign technology. AutoAlign works by choosing two fail-proof alignment stars and placing them directly in the viewfinder finderscope. These can then be centered for fine-tuning and specific viewing.
DIFFRACTION-LIMITED MEADE SCHMIDT-CASSEGRAIN OPTICS - Individually figured water-white corrector lenses and Pyrex primary and secondary mirrors offer superior light transmission, temperature stability, smoothness, and correction.
OVERSIZED PRIMARY MIRROR - The LX90-ACF's primary mirror is slightly larger than its listed aperture. This extra size yields a wider, fully illuminated field of view, and allows you to see the light other telescopes leave behind.
SLEW SPEED - The LX90GPS slews (moves) from star to star at 7 degrees per second. That is more than twice as fast as the competition. This means that over the course of an evening, a Meade LX90GPS will show you two to three times more objects.
RIGID CAST ALUMINUM FORK MOUNT - The Meade LX90GPS's Optical Tube Assembly is mounted on two sturdy fork arms. This allows for a rock-solid platform for astrophotography.
