A: i am sorry but no. meade does not have the DS series scopes set up to recieve power from a DC adapter. the only adapter that will work with the DS series scopes is the #546 AC Adapter.

Q3: Hi, I have a Celestron 12 vdc power supply for my other scope which has the inner conductor as +12 volt and the outer conductor is -12 volt. Is this the same polarity as needed for the LX90 8" SCT?

A: it is not quite the same for the LX90 Meade only has a DC adapter #607 Power Cord available otherwise it uses C cell batteries.
