Don't waste your money on cheaper scopes. You will get what you pay for and you will get your money's worth with with Zhomell 20-60x80. We are long range shooters and nature/birders.

Scope is sharp/clear from 20 out to 60. Scope is heavy and you wil need a "good" tripod.

Great for use as a spotting scope- however I purchased the T2 adapter and the Canon EOS t-adapter [...]. The EOS adapter does NOT seat to the scope properly (threads line up but will not tighten down- just keeps spinning). Also the T2 adapter is NOT universal- it will not accept all point and shoot cameras. [...]My main purpose for buying was for digiscoping/photography but since I can't do that I may return the entire set up.

Comments about Zhumell 20-60x80mm Angled Spotting Scope:

Can't beat the build and optical quality of this scope for the price point offered on this website. When mounted on my tripod, it looks and operates like a typical $500 dollar scope. Recessed objective with sliding sun/rain collar. Been using mine for over a week now..in the bright sunshine and overcast days spotting birds and squirrels in the leafy trees, at the bird feeder or on fence posts. On a bright day I can zoom with very good contrast and sharpness at 40X with no image breakdown. Field of view is narrow - which is what I expected when using an inexpensive zoom eyepiece. Can't use another eyepiece on this scope body. Too bad! Would have been GREAT for Zhumell to provide a 1.25" eyepiece adapter so I could mount my astronomical eyepieces on this scope! (Can imageine what my Nagler 13mm eyepiece would be like on this scope!) Good "fully multicoated" achromatic doublet objective. Very uniform with no streaks in the coatings. Very slight blue / yellow "fringing" when slightly in or out of focus at higher power (40x+). At night, the moon looks sharp at 30X with very slight color fringing. Wouldn't be comfortable for astronomical viewing at this 45 degree angle, but if you bring this with you for Nature viewing and want to do casual astronomy, it will be useable, although the stars are not pinpoint.....but very close. Not bad for a scope designed for daytime use! Focusing wheel has a good feel to it and zoom is a little stiff as you break it in. Good dust caps for objective and zoom eyepiece. Soft fitted camo "jacket" is the weakest part of this purchase. It does it's job but I would have preferred a soft or hard case (box) to transport my spotting scope - to protect it. Will be looking for a generic case online. Good all-purpose spotter. A little on the heavy side, but well worth the $120.

Comments about Zhumell 20-60x80mm Angled Spotting Scope:

Objective doublet has great green coatings, provides high contrast sharp views at all zoom settings. Easy focuser control. Nice sun shield. Useful fitted case...camo color a little over the top. Fit and finish is first rate. Eyepiece exhibits some kidney beaning at higher power settings, but if you keep your eye centered, it is not an issue. Good eye relief with glasses on. Comes to sharp focus and very bright image up to 40x. Due to smaller exit pupil at high power, image darkens a little, but still useable during cloudy and bright days. Color and contrast is accurate and pleasing on overcast day. If this was $500-600 dollars, it would stll be a good buy, If it included a good quality hard case. That's the only thing missing from this very good optical instrument purchase. Highly recommended.

Comments about Zhumell 20-60x80mm Angled Spotting Scope:

You would not be reading this if you weren't shopping for a top quality spotting scope. You need to buy this scope, and a good little tripod for the shooting bench, and have a high quality spotting scope that offers the following advantages, other than just a low price:

    1. This scope has a heavy, substantial, attractive look to the product, that makes you wonder how on earth Zhummel can offer such a nice spotting scope for as little money as they charge. There is a soft camo carrying case that comes with this scope that not only allows you to carry the scope out in the field, it has velcro flaps to where you can operate the spotting scope, even mount it on a tripod, without removing the carrying case. The scope has end caps for both objective and eye piece. There is a built in sliding sunshade. The offset eyepiece is neat, because you can sit it on a beach beside you while you shoot, and spot your own holes without getting up from the bench. It's a really slick, nice looking spotting scope that appears to cost many times more than it actually does.

    2. The optical quality of the BAK 4 lenses is astoundingly good. You can spot bullet holes at 200 yards and even further. It's clear, bright, and sharp, and easy to focus, with plenty of eye relief.

    3. This scope is fog proof, waterproof, and comes with a three year guarantee. It's easy to use and really works, and makes you wish you had bought one sooner than what you did.

I thought I had some decent spotting scopes, but I was wrong. All my spotting scopes are over twenty years old, and this new one with fully mulitcoated lenses and BAK 4 lenses just blows the others away.

And the cost is ridiculously cheap. Yes, you really can buy a super high quality, offset eyepiece, quality spotting scope for less than $150. It would be a bargain at $300, if it had a famous name written on the side of it.

Comments about Zhumell 20-60x80mm Angled Spotting Scope:

In the past ten years I've bought nine scopes in this category. paid from $60 to $180. This one is the best I've purchased and is in a class with the $800 to $1,500 scopes I've seen. No joke. Can see a 30 cal bullet hole in the black at 200 yards, even in "not the best" light.
