I recieved my new Barska spotting scope today and have already been in the field glassing everything. It arrived a day early and in perfect condition. This scope has great clarity at all ranges and is quality built. The hard case alone is worth half the total price. Looking forward to many years of hunting and birding with this scope. This scope had a lot of good reviews even in my area of interest which was firing range. I pre-tested it at the job the other day to see if I will be able to see the bullet holes in my targets from my Colt M4 rifle. Excellent views at 50 and 100 yds with clear views of all the holes during light sprinkling rain and overcast darker late afternoon light. Harder to make out the holes at 200 yds but it was already fairly dark by then and I'm pretty sure if I use something like the Champion brand targets with fluorescent colored paint (?) that shows up when your rounds hit it I'll be able to see the hit points with no problem. I was thinking if the zoom/clarity wasn't good enough I would return it for the next higher priced model, but I don't need to bother. This is gonna serve me just fine for 200yds or closer. Note: at 100yds I could see the keyhole on a doorknob pretty darn well. That should help give you an idea if you don't know what 5.56 bullet holes look like on paper targets. Also, can see pretty much the whole target in the view so you don't have to move the scope around to look for hit points on about a 3'x3' target at all three distances. This is a great first scope for me--and maybe the last one, too. :)

Bought this scope after looking at a number of them at various sites and comparing reviews, specifications, etc. Bottom line is this is a great scope for the $. Worked great when a bunch of us went to the range yesterday and we could see how great (or how bad) we were shooting.

Value for money, highly recommended. Eye piece definitely needs a bit of improvement, but still is worth every penny.

Don't know about anyone else that has one but I have to be right up against the eyepiece to see anything. Could have a little better eye relief but great other than that so far.
