        I bought this scope about 8 months ago and have used it to look out onto miami beach and biscayne bay. The scope is o.k., at best, for several reasons: 1) it doesn't focus all that well; 2) it's not that powerful (even for a recreational user) and
        3) it's moderately expensive given the foregoing.

        I just received this scope and already had it out looking at the moon and birds. Got it mainly to use at the gun range but I am sure now I will use it for other viewing. Very clear for the money even at 60x, easy to use, good little tripod, and good eye relief. I read many reviews about other scopes before I bought this one and the reviews lived up to what they claimed, great scop for the money. If one is on a limited budget and wants a really good scope buy this one!

          This scope has a convenient swivel for the eyepiece such that you can easily adjust it to use for spotting from a bench rest without having to stand. It has a sturdy tabletop tripod. I haven't tried it for astronomy, but I suspect it would be ok for some amateur purposes.
