Description

The Yukon 6-100x100 is a revolutionary spotting scope that provides a high-quality image at magnifications ranging from 6 to 100x. For low magnification observation, the device utilizes the 25mm lens. Linear zooming allows magnification adjustments between 6x and 25x, but when a higher magnification is desired, the flip of a switch shifts the light path from one lens to the other. With the 100mm objective lens, zooming capabilities increase to 25-100x magnification.

The enormous light-gathering capability of the 100mm lens creates a bright and clear picture in nearly all viewing conditions, including twilight. In accordance to Yukon Advanced Optics' tradition, the Yukon 100x's design provides the user with power, quality, and comfort. To prevent viewing fatigue or discomfort, a specially designed, adjustable 90-degree rotating eyepiece can be used to suit the viewer's position from any angle, even when lying on the ground.

Both digital and photo camera adapters are available to be used with the Yukon 100x. The unit can accommodate both photographic and spotting scope tripods, and can double as a telescope for late night stargazing. The 100x is backed by Yukon's Limited Lifetime Warranty.

  • Features Dual objective lenses with a folded light path for compact size and light weight 6-100x zoom variable magnification
  • Table Top Tripod included. Digital camera adaptable with optional accessory
  • Eyepiece rotates 90 degrees for viewing from any angle
  • Lightweight with both 25mm and 100mm objective lenses for optimal performance
  • Limited Lifetime Warranty
  • Pair the Yukon 20-50x50 Spotting Scope with the Digital Camera Adapter (#29024) to transform the device into a high-powered photographic unit.

Body: With a simple flip of the switch, quality dual multi-coated objective lenses make it possible to view 6x-25x and 25x-100x magnifications. The internal optics, guarded by a durable composite body, are surprisingly lightweight and compact, making it easy to transport.

Optics/Performance: The Yukon 6-100x100 delivers crystal clear magnification from 6x to 100x with no distortion or loss of image quality. Yukon's engineers have achieved this exclusive capability by using two multi-coated objective lenses, one with a 25mm aperture and the other with a 100mm aperture. Both lenses share a common ocular lens, which allows for a smooth transition as the viewer adjusts the scope to the desired magnification.

I use it guiding Bear hunts, Mt Goat hunts, take it Sheep hunting! Unbelievably light weight. (Weighs only 3 lbs compared to Swarovskies 20x60 6 lb spotting scope!) Can be used at the top of mountains WITHOUT tripod! Large objective lenses are ideal for dusk and dawn viewing! Can see Bear tracks up in a snow field from the bottom of a mountain, and tell WHICH DIRECTION the bear tracks are going! My ONLY sugestion would be to bring a light weight nylon dry bag with you to put it in while camping in extream rainy conditions. (Wish it were totally waterproof) Like my swarovski 10x42 Binos! Thus far it has endured the rain on Kodiak pretty well... although I HAVE been babying it! Making sure it stays dry.I would recomend ths scope to ANYONE who loves wildlife photography, Hunting, Birding, or even star gazing! You can mount it to the window of a car for fast glassing. AND you can even get a camera adapter to fit it to your digital camera! Wendy A. Close Eskew Alaskan Wilderness Adventures (Kodiaks Wild Side!)

It is in a class by it's self, a one of a kind. I've spent countless hours, reseaching spotting scopes. You will not find a better, more powerful, more use friendly scope. I never found a single bad review on any site, and now I know why.

Comments about Yukon 6-100x100 Angled Spotting Scope Kit:

I bought this scope in 2007 to take to Alaska for birding purposes. Performance was excellent. This scope has two objective lenses, 25mm and 100mm. Your subject and distance to that subject will determine which lens to use but that versatility is an exceptional feature. I used this scope with a window mount and it was easy to use. It is not a heavy scope. I attached it to a tripod with a pistol grip and carried it over a mile across tundra and back without any discomfort. It has all the power for birding purposes one will ever need and the viewed image is crisp. I did experience heat distortion viewing eiders and cormorants across ice and water but I did have it cranked up to 100x. Without the heat it performs fine. I've used other scopes and heat waves are always a problem. I am totally satisfied with this scope and won't switch to any other. The price is very reasonable. I do know that the straight eyepiece is no longer offered and I consider that a disadvantage. With the straight eyepiece, it is easy and quick to sight down the top of the scope to find your bird! It was also a huge plus when using the scope with a car window mount. I'll be back in Alaska this year with my Yukon 100. Buy this scope. It's outstanding!
