Q1: I would like to take close up pictures with a spotting scope can you reccommend a set up? Does this adapter snap on or screw on and what cameras fit into it? I have a 35mm cannon and sony mavica digital. Do I need a special camera for this adapter? Thanks Barney
A: This will attach to the Specific Camera T-ring (the t-ring connects to the camera)For the canon it is either the Canon T-ring or the Canon EOS t-ring (depends on your camera) if the Sony is a DSLR then this will work as well you will just need a sony t-ring. If it is a fixed lens you will need a "variable projection camera adapter" that will allow you to line your camera up to image through the eyepiece.
Q2: What is the power when using the adapter to take pictures? Is there any method to change the power? I have a Cannon EOS System.
A: The camera adapter slips over the spotting scope's eyepiece and is secured to your camera body via a T-ring. With this arrangement, photo magnification is the same as that offered by the scope's eyepiece for visual observation.
