Vortex rounded off their premium optics assortment by adding the Ranger 1000 Laser Rangefinder.  This rangefinder is capable of ranging to 1000 yards.  It gives hunters the distance information they need to make confident shots.  The HCD (Horizontal Component Distance) mode displays an angle-compensated  distance reading.   The lenses are fully multi-coated so your view will be bright in all lighting conditions.  The Vortex Ranger 1000 is fully waterproof and O-Ring sealed.  Built to handle the tough situations that any hunter can put a rangefinder through.  When looking through the Ranger 1000 you will see 6x magnification.  Inside is a simple cross reticle for aiming at your ranging target.  The Vortex Ranger 1000 is simple to use, has easy navigation of menus and a clean illuminated display.  What good is a rangefinder if it takes a giant instruction book to figure out how to use.  This rangefinder was so easy to use, we actually never used the manual in our testing of the item.  Vortex really made this user friendly, yet packed with the features you want.

The Vortex Ranger 1000 can be set for both yards or meters.  It is also compatible with a tripod adapter allowing use on a tripod or car window mount
