Comments about Newcon Optik 7x25 LRF Laser Rangefinder 2000 Yards Monocular:

I bought this product to range distances for long range shooting 1000 yards to 1 mile. For the money there is no competator. I feel this is the best rangefinder for this distance at this price period.

Comments about Newcon Optik 7x25 LRF Laser Rangefinder 2000 Yards Monocular:

Compact, has good range, accurate on the plus side. Negative; Could be waterproof, use a 123F battery, illuminate the reticle. Overall, a good buy for the price.

Customer Q & A

Q1: What is the clarity of this product compare to Leupold? How many feet of view at 1,000 yards?

A: Clarity is excellent. Field of view is 8 degrees, or about 140 feet at 1,000 yards.

Q2: Is it possible to target a commercial plane flying at about 1500 meters distance (near an airport)?

A: Technically you could target a large plane at 1500 meters, but it would likely be quite difficult to get a good steady reading.

Q3: I am looking for a good rangefinder that will range deer and elk size targets out to 1300 yards reliably. Will these suit my needs and do they need mounted on a tripod?

A: Yes, the Newcon 7x25 LRF Monocular - 2000 Yards w/ Speed Detector & Compass will range on deer- and elk-size targets reliably out to 1,300 yards. It does not need to be mounted on a tripod, unless it is difficult to keep a steady hand.

Q4: Can this model integrate to computer via RS232?

A: Unfortunately, no, the 7x25 LRF Monocular - 2000 Yards - Speed Detector - Compass cannot interface with a computer.
