Comments about Newcon Optik 7x25 LRF Laser Rangefinder Monocular - 1500 Yards:

I like this piece of gear very well built. I dropped it down 6 flights of stairs and it worked like a champ. The bad thing about it is that the numbers are black on the inside of this range finder so when in direct sunlight or in well lighted area's its hard to see the numbers on the inside.

Comments about Newcon Optik 7x25 LRF Laser Rangefinder Monocular - 1500 Yards:

The monocular worked fine for about a week then wouldn't even function. Sent it in to the company and they replaced it with a new model

Customer Q & A

Q1: What color is the display in the range finder? How many lasers does it use for range determination? Is it weather resistant? Also what else can you tell me about this range finder, is it comparable to the Leica or is it more like a Nikon/Bushnell? Thank You

A: it uses a red display, 1 pulsing laser beam. No it is not as good as a Leica the closest comparison i could give would be the nikon but the nikon is a bit better optically and has a better warranty than the Newcon does.

Q2: I tried a Nikon 440 that gave a continuos reading on a moving subject, does the Newcon LRM 1500SPD have this feature?

A: Yes, the Newcon LRM 1500SPD laser range finder has a scan mode that is engaged by holding down the activation button for 3 seconds. The unit will then give continuous ranges.
