Description

Pulling in truly accurate range measurements at distances exceeding half-a-mile is now a reality with Nikon's new Monarch Gold Laser 1200 compact rangefinder. Boasting an honest 1,200 yard ranging capability, the new Monarch Gold not only puts "can do" confidence into your long-range vocabulary, but it does it with a host of advanced technology: like Nikon's original digital measurement process that provides lightning-fast measurements with pinpoint, half-yard precision up to 550 yards and consistent one-yard accurate readings out to 1,200 yards, or Nikon's revolutionary Tru-Target (TT) Ranging System - with First Target Priority and Distance Target Priority modes. This 9.8-ounce wonder also has a selectable back-lighting feature in the bright LCD display, scanning capability, eyeglass-friendly seven-power multi-coated optics with focusing diopter, a 34mm laser pulse receiver and, like all Nikon Monarch optics, it is guaranteed waterproof and fog-proof. Tripod-adaptable. Includes CR2 lithium battery.
Tru-Target Ranging System
First Target Priority Mode - Allows confident ranging of objects as small as fence posts or to get an instant reading on that lone buck in the meadow.

Distant Target Priority Mode - Displays range to the farthest target among the targets measured, ideal for accurate ranging in typical hunting situations where game animals may be partially obscured by grass or brush.

Ranging in Progress - Unique reticle design signals when ranging is in progress.

          Customer Q & A

Q1: What is Nikon's warranty on the 1200 and 800 rangefinders? Does the 800 have same processor as 1200 except for range limitation? I NEED it to regularly to range to 500 yards on trees, rocks. Will the 800 do this? thanks

A: The warranty though both products is one year through Hayneedle.  For information on Nikon's manufacturer warranty, contact Nikon at 1-800-645-6687.  For accurate readings up to 500 yards I would recommend the 1200.  It will read within a half yard up to 550 yards.
