    After purchasing a new Nikon scope for my rifle (from Binoculars.com), I needed the range finder to compliment my out-fit. After making a personal decision not to try shots over 350 yards the RX-600 was the logical choice. The brand name (Leupold) speaks for its self. With this combination I am dead on at 200 yards.

      I bought this rangefinder for getting the correct yardage on shots while hunting. It can also be used for setting up your targets while target shooting or sighting in. No more guessing the yardage. I used to carry a pair of 8X21 compact binoculars while hunting, now I just carry this. The 6X magnification works well for me. It is small, light weight, and compact in size, about the same size as my 8X21 binoculars. Mine came with a lanyard that attaches to the rangefinder and a carry case with a belt loop and swivel clasp. The side of the carry case has a velcro closure flapped pocket for carrying a spare battery. The rangefinder is very easy to use. Press the top button once and the reticle appears, aim at your target, press the button again, and the yardage is displayed. You can choose from 3 reticle styles by pressing the left side button. Plus Point, Duplex, or both combined, center Plus Point with outer Duplex. It would be nice if it had a threaded hole on the bottom for mounting to a small tripod. As you get out to say 125-150 yds. it starts getting a little difficult to hold steady with one hand on a deer or tree trunk size target. If sitting, I can hold it with both hands and steady it by placing my elbows on my knees. I'm sure that this will be true with all rangefinders. I went with this model over the RX-750 for price and ease of use. I just didn't feel that the added features and cost of the RX-750 with True Ballistic Range (TBR) was worth it to me. Most of my hunting is done with a muzzleloader or rifle in a moderate to heavily wooded area, so long shots are few and far between. Overall I would say that it is a very good unit for the money.

          Couldn't be easier to use. Put the battery in, push the button once to get the crosshair, push the button again to get the range - than it shuts off in 7 seconds to save the battery. Simple.
