    Some shooting ranges have no distance markers or are hard to read. The one I use (indoor) states the maximum distance is 50 yards, and the owner swears by it. The Yardage Pro shows it is actually 42 yards.
    It's compact size fits in my shooters bag, and sometimes I just sit on my deck and measure the distance of boats on the lake.

    This is a very basic unit. It is accurate as long as there is nothing at all in your line of site and this model doesn't have any modes of opperation that other rangefinders have such as reflect mode or rain mode. This model isn't waterproof either, other models have a o-ring seal on the battery compartment door, this one doesn't. You have to remove the battery to flip a dip switch to change from meters to yards, this means if water seeps into the battery compartment, it will most likely short out the unit.

      Product was damaged through shipment and did not have the oppertunity to use it. But hayneedle was very courteous and handled my damaged product and replace it with another. I shipped the damage product free shipment back to hayneedle. I would recommend hayneedle to others for their integrity and honesty.

            I purchased for golf and found it served its purpose but outside of 150 yards it was difficult to focus on the pin to get a reading. Needed to find other larger objects (sandtraps, golfers, or trees) to get a better estimate. You need to know your range to be sure your reading is accurate as it will occassionally grab objects beyond your target. Need steady hands to get consistent readings. I will compliment how easy it is to use and its intuitive features.

            Q1: I am a golf player and I want to know how this equipment works.

            A: The Yardage Pro 450 works by sending a laser beam out to the object whose range you want to know. The device then records the time that light from the beam takes to bounce back. From that elapsed time, it computes the distance to the object.

            Q2: What is the magnification and lens size?

            A: The Bushnell Yardage Pro 450 offers 4X magnification with a 25mm objective lens.

            Q3: I want to use it for hunting out of a blind, will it work looking through the window through a net?

            A: As long as the unit has a clear unobstructed shot, it will range accurately.    If the net is in the way of the beam the range finder sends out the reading will not come out clearly.
