Targeting Modes

PinSeeker™ - Designed exclusively with the bottom of the cup in mind, this mode allows easy acquisition of the flag without inadvertently capturing background target distances. When more than one object is acquired, the closer of the two objects is shown on the LCD display.

 

Scan - The Scan mode allows you to pan across the landscape while viewing a continuously updated LCD display of the distances between you and the targets you scan with the viewfinder.

        I wanted an accurate reading to pins, fronts of bunkers, trees, etc. so I could pick the appropriate club to do the job. This rangefinder does the trick!! I looked at many others and found that the 1600 gave me all of what I was looking for. Not only does it compensate for slope, it has a scanning function that allows me to scan different points for distance without having to depress the button each time. It has also helped me on the range in determining just how far I reliably hit various clubs instead of just assuming how far I hit them. Overall, you can't beat this rangefinder. Top of the line and tournament legal.
