I used the opera glasses at an Eagles concert in a large venue. The glasses worked as I expected. Our seats were fairly far away so I could not get an excellent view of the band through the glasses but the glasses greatly helped; I did get a good view and what I expected.
Be sure to read the directions to focus the glasses. Of course, I did not and was disappointed at first. But a friend knew how to adjust the focus and I was very happy with the result.
I used the handle at times and found it to work fine.

Placing the order:
unfortunately there is no retailer in Vancouver, Canada that will officially carry a line of zhumell optics. i placed my order through the zhummell 1-800 number. the service was excellent, the sales associate (elizabeth) was very helpful in providing me details of the product. i recieved the product in the mail packaged in a fedex box stuffed with sufficient filling to protect the binoculars.
Packaging:
I must say i am a bit dissappointed with the packaging of this product. it comes in a cardboard box enclosed in it is the velveteen pouch. i was expecting to recieve a hard/wooden case as the other cheaper brands packaged them accordingly.
comes with silicon gel and a cleaning cloth. the cleaning cloth is of no quality at all better of getting one from an eye wear / camera store.
prduct is wrapped in plastic. another disappointing thing. presentation is not impressive at all.
Dissecting the Product:
a screw locks the hinge of the telescoping handle and it does take some effort to fully lock in position. the grip for the locking screw is small making it difficult for anyone with fat finger to get a good grip on.
upon inspection the inside of the barrel reveals that the gold chrome is not fully coated in the inside. would expect better quality control for this price. this does not change the performance of the product but makes the apperance look cheap.
OVERALL: 85/100

Q1: What is the power of these glasses?
A: They are a 3x magnification.
Q2: What is the field of view for these glasses?
A: The Metropolitan's field of view is 327 feet at 1,000 yards or 6.23 degrees.
Q3: I know most opera glasses come with the 3X mag which brings things 3 times closer. What is the 3X28 or x25 or x30 I see with the various glasses represent, more light?
A: The second number represents the diameter of the front lens in millimeters. The higher the number, the more light that enters the binoculars.
