We also were able to include a number of other options to make this unit even more superior than it was already. The sleek body, with contoured finger rests, houses a powerful high-resolution first generation intensifier tube which allow a 35,000 max light amplification. Once you enter a completely dark where no ambient light is to be found, you can take advantage of our built-in Total Darkness Technology which our infrared illuminator will provide. The unit also has an optional camera adapter, which will allow you to turn a regular household camera into a night vision camera.
If optimal picture is what you are in the market for, the Night Storm will satisfy you needs. The unit's diopter adjustment of +/- 5 and 1' to infinity range of focus will allow you to focus in on any object in range. I live on 5 acres with about two acres cleared around the house. We have dogs but also have lots of visits from coyotes and bears, with a nasty coyote attack that left both our dogs needing surgery. This is a very simple, inexpensive, and ergonomic unit that lets us keep it handy to scope out the yard. It easily gives great contrast to peer into the trees and brush around our place. For the price, I don't think I could be happier. (Although I am fussy with optics and would love to afford a gen 3 or higher unit, this does everything I need it to do)

Surprised how far this product displays a clear image. Anxious to try with a camera or video camera. Just purchased so still have to get some more time using the piece.

This is a good system for the price. I am a bit prejudiced because I have worn the military AN/PVS 14’s while on active duty which have a 3+ tube. You cannot compare system because of the great price difference between them. I have used it very effectively as an aid to night navigation on my boat. They are also great for navigating in the dark to your tree stand.

I sail at night and night storm works good for short range ( under 400 yards ) spotting of shorelines, bouys, rocks,other watercraft, etc. I wish it had a strap that crossed over the back of the knuckles. Battery life is decent. Fun for camping and great for scanning my backyard at night. For the money - it is perfect.
