this monocular is one of a kind, although it is a little bulky. i use it for bird watching, astronomy, and my uncle uses it 4 security. unlike most monoculars, u can focus it with out losing sight of ur target. it is quick and easy to use, with an easy lever focus. aplause for Carson!

Comments about Carson Optical Carson Bandit 8x25 Quick Focus Monocular:

Like all monoculars this neat little unit will cause eye strain after using it for more than just a few minutes, but for rapid deployment ang quick focus there is no other mono quite like it.The manufacturer of this device claims it has BAK7 prisms I find that hard to believe since its light gathering abilities are rather limited but it is still acceptable in bright daylight. Not recommended for night viewing .

Comments about Carson Optical Carson Bandit 8x25 Quick Focus Monocular:

I was really pleased with the high quality of this monocular in both day light and at night. Real sharp images and super easy to focus. While it is compact as compared to binoculars, I find it just a little bit bulky as compared to most monos'...it will fit into a cargo pocket no problem but if you plan to dress lightley it might not store so easily...but for my glove box in my car (where I keep it)its perfect. If you want a great little spotting scope for short money this is it.

I use it to watch my grandson play high school lacrosse. With my failing eyesight, it gives me a clear, up-close view of his performance.
