The optical quality was not as good as I expected, even at the price. Zooming required re-focusing that was a nuisance.

                Customer Q & A

Q1: I know that the numbers 8-16 in the 16x25 is the magnification but what does the number 25 represent?

A: The "25" in the Carson Optical MonoZoom 8-16x25 Zoom Monocular is the diameter of the monocular's objective lens. This is important because it indicates probable low-light performance. A larger objective lens will admit more light than a smaller one; hence you'll get brighter magnified images in an instrument with a larger objective than in one with a smaller lens.
