Comments about Zeiss Design Selection 6x18B T DS Monocular with Pouch:

I own this Zeiss monocular and the 5X10 too. I dearly love them both. However, the quality of viewing with this one is superior. I own many high-priced binoculars, but this monocular is now my favorite, along with the little one which I carry around like a pen in my pocket. These Zeiss products are expensive, but their optics are worth it! GRP of Shaker Heights, Ohio

Comments about Zeiss Design Selection 6x18B T DS Monocular with Pouch:

The optics are everything I expected from a top of the line mono - that wow factor. These I can use for a lengthier time than any other and so carry them places where I used to pack binos. Close focusing down to a foot is an added plus for insects, displays, inspecting, etc. Focusing is different than with most monos, using a draw tube at the objective end. A slight twist with a very slight pull works nicely and comes naturally after the first few times. For most viewing, the drawtube ends up extending only about 1/16 inch and the quality construction ensures it stays there. Not sure yet whether I would have preferred a traditional focus wheel, but focus does come easily and snaps into place. Debated between the 6x18, 8x20 or 10x25. Went with this one for the slightly larger exit pupil for better low light performance, the close focus versatility and the shorter length. I also find 6x a bit sharper due to less shake amplification. One last comment - it's so light you forget it's around your neck.
