Comments about Zeiss 5X10 T MiniQuick Monocular:

This is a wonderful item. My first pair of "quality" binoculars was a Zeiss 10x25, about 40 years ago. The design, weight, and optics were great, and still are, and that is true of the Miniquick as well.

This is so light one might think it was a toy, but the optics are first-rate. The feel is good, and the focus smooth. Of course 5x10 is going to have limitations based on the low power and small diameter lens, but these are partially overcome by the quality optics. I can pick out detail as well as or better than lower quality 8 power binoculars. Also, the light-gathering is better than I'd expected, again because of the optics. This is very usable in dusk situations.

You're not going to get the details of good quality higher power binoculars, but the size and weight means you can have this with you at all times--a big plus for me. The pen clip makes sense to me, and appears strong. It comes from a ring that goes all the way around the barrel. I haven't used it though. I put the Miniquick in a rigid glasses case made for those small reading glasses, if I'm going to stuff it in my pants pocket. For me, it's a good idea to attach one of those small wrist straps (by looping around the clip) so it's less likely to slip out of the hand.

In sum, buy from a dealer where you can return it, but plan on being pleasantly surprised.

Comments about Zeiss 5X10 T MiniQuick Monocular:

I bought this for my husband who seems to lose anything he sets down. If he doesn't have a pocket he can clip this to his neckline so it has been great. I notice he really uses it as it is not cumbersome.

Comments about Zeiss 5X10 T MiniQuick Monocular:

You will never be without a scope as you can carry this one in your pocket, briefcase, tackle bag, etc. The optics on this little scope are fantastic. You don't give up much with this product. The size is small with a big view.

Comments about Zeiss 5X10 T MiniQuick Monocular:

Wanted something compact to use for target shooting. Now I find myself tucking it in my pocket whenever I go for a walk or to the lake. Beautiful optics just as you would expect from Zeiss. Just wish it had come with a pouch or tube type holder.

Comments about Zeiss 5X10 T MiniQuick Monocular:

My fascination with compact optics began years ago when I purchased the inexpensive [...]on a lark. Wanting more , I acquired the [...] 8x16 - with it's better optics and wide field of view , the [...] pleased me greatly , but I soon tired of the all too touchy slide-focus that tended not to stay put unless stabilized with both hands. Something that small should be one-handed ... so I finally tried the MiniQuick. This monocular is light as a feather , clips to your shirt pocket like a pen , and sports stunning optical clarity. Though it's field of view is narrower than the [...] 8x16 , the MiniQuick's brightness and image quality surpass the [...] in fast spot-on viewing such as bird watching. It's easier and faster to home in with , and despite it's lesser magnification , it's clarity and brightness actually let you see more. The focus ring is tight and snug , it stays put once you have your range - affording fast one-handed use from then on. What a joy this MiniQuick is to use ! Even in night conditions [ I'm talking street lighting here ] it's brightness lets you read a street sign from blocks away. My only criticism is the pocket clip - I feel that for this price range it could have been made a wee bit sturdier. It doesn't strike me as being any stronger than ordinary pen-clips ... and one reviewer reported having it break on them. Upon using this unit , one must be mindful of that fact and treat the clip gently. That being said , this is a wonderful monocular and well worth the asking price. If I ever decide to buy a more powerful monocular , I do believe Zeiss will be number one on my list !

              Customer Q & A

Q1: What is the actual size of it?

A: Approximately 4" long and 12mm wide literally about the size of a pen.

Q2: I do not see the field of vision or the magnification listed?

A: Zeiss' 5x10 T* MiniQuick monocular has 5X magnification and a 10mm objective lens, hence 5x10. It has a 300-foot field of view at 1,000 yards.
