Description

The Barska AY11228 Binocular Stereo Microscope is constructed with two separate light paths, which results in a true stereo, or three dimensional (3-D) image of specimen. Because of the optical design parameters of a stereo microscope, the 3-D effects are limited to low powers only. Complete with a large stage for closer viewing of the non-microscopic world. Items such as insect parts, plant and flower parts, fossils, stamps, coins, etc. do not need to be mounted on a slide. Includes halogen illumination, 360-degree rotating head, and comfortable between-eye distance. Ideal for general medical applications, industrial use, hobbyists/collectors, educational fields.

Additional Information:

  • Easy out-of-the-box setup and ease of use features makes this ideal for any student or hobbyist
  • Transmitted and oblique illumination

    Cons

      Best Uses

      • Tissue dissection

Comments about Barska AY11228 Binocular Stereo Microscope:

I will be utilizing this microscope to dissect very small pieces of tissue and orientate them for paraffin/frozen embedding. I easily set it up and started testing it out the moment it arrived today. Sturdy, light, with a great range of capabilities 2 to 4x (smooth grading) and 10x objectives, and dual light settings that are individually controlled for 3D viewing. While it is on sale, I am now considering buying one for personal uses at home for viewing random items such as bugs and leaves.
