      I bought this pair as a back up pair for a 6 week birding trip to India. I chose these because I wear glasses and these work well with glasses. They are compact and light weight. Everything I take goes into my carry on and these fit nicely in an unused corner. The focus is smooth. For birding I prefer 8x binoculars. They provide a wider field of view than 10x. These are not water proof so only 4 stars. We will have to see how they hold up.

          Have not taken my Safari trip yet but my initial local trial use indicates they are crystal clear close up and at long distancs. They adjust easily and quickly and are just as good with or without my glasses. All the good reviews i researched were absolutely true and accurate.A really good set at a very good price.
