    I purchased these binoculars for astronmical viewing.I already own a pair of 15x70 Celestron Skymasters that were puchased for the same use,the only issue is that they are heavy and very difficult to keep steady without a tripod.I did some research and decided that the Celestron 10x50s were a good choice based on price, portability and weight without compromising to much in the way of power.I have had them out multiple times so far and have been very pleased with their performance.The only disappointing thing about them is the neck strap.The neck strap is very narrow and is uncomfortable against the bare skin.I would recommend purchasing a better neck strap to compliment a very nice pair of binoculars.

          Q1: Are the lenses coated also id this has a treaded hole for tripod mounting

          A: Yes they use a standard phase coating and they are tripod adaptable the adapter will attach to the center of the binocular hinge there si a small piece of plastic threade into the center that cen be removed so you can attach the adapter to the binocular.

          Q2: Can you give me the actual size measurements of this product in inches?

          A: The dimensions are 4.8 x 4.1 x 2.1"
