My wife bought a pair of these for her boss for Christmas so he could sit on his deck and view the wildlife on his property. He stated this was the best Christmas gift he had ever received from the office so we bought a pair for ourselves. So far we have only used them for the theater. They are great for seeing a wide area and perfect for sharing as you do not have to adjust the focus. My wife thinks they are great and we plan on using them this summer for concerts and baseball games. This was a great investment for everyone.

      It's what you're not told that hurts you! The binoculars have no focus mechanism (even the $4.95 binoculars I bought from China allow individual focus!). Consequently, the left eye (my grainiest) is in focus; the right eye is not. I wear corrective glasses, but wearing them while observing with these binoculars severely reduces the field of view, and a wide field of view was my reason for purchasing. To Bushnell's credit, I don't believe they ever said that the binoculars had a focus mechanism. For such a well-built binocular, I would STRONGLY RECOMMEND the addition of an individual eye focus mechanism
