I bought these for my parents to use at their beach condo, near the entrance of a major shipping port with wide open views that scream for a good pair of binoculars. These were the first high powered binoculars I ever bought and they have completely lived up to my expectations. Great image and you can reduce the the zoom to reduce the shakiness of long distance viewing. I read the license plate of a car from + or - 1000 yds. (had to rest them on a railing). These are a great pair of binoculars for the money.

Comments about Bushnell Legacy 10-22x50mm Weatherproof Zoom Binoculars:
I live in the Endless Mountains of Pennsylvania. With these binoculars I can watch deer grazing on the mountain top across the valley. We are planning a trip to Yellowstone and the Rocky Mountain National Park. I can't wait to put them to use out there.

Hunting from a boat in the Southeast waters of Alaska.
I adjusted to the Binoculars 3 minutes out of the box.
Rather large. But that's no down side

Comments about Bushnell Legacy 10-22x50mm Weatherproof Zoom Binoculars:
Had a problem with old binoculars, due to lack of waterproofing. That was a requirement for this purchase. They also have great clarity and the zoom is awesome.

Comments about Bushnell Legacy 10-22x50mm Weatherproof Zoom Binoculars:
Great magnification!
Bit disappointing is necessity of focus correction after zooming from min-to-max or max-to-min.
Absolutely not important to me but strange is fact, that protective caps just don't want to stay tight on lenses... You might need to forget about using them, they fall off while putting binoculars into pouch. Taking it out, You will always find caps on the bottom of the pouch, not on the binoculars.
Allover - I absolutely do not regret any single cent spent on these binoculars.
And no need to pay more for anything of comperable class.

Q1: Are there any quality binoculars that are fogproof and have zoom capability?
A: Yes, there are quality Zoom binoculars. Brunton makes the Epoch 8-15x35 Zoom. And it's real quality, with magnesium alloy frame, state-of-the-art phase coating, and full multi-coating. Here's the URL; just paste it into your browser's address window: http://binoculars.com/products/brunton-epoch-8-15x35-zoom-31560.html. Leica, meanwhile, makes the Duovid line of high-quality binoculars. These offer either 8+12X magnification or 10+15X. They aren't true zooms, however, as they are not continuously variable between the low end and the high. Here's the URL for the 10+15x50 Duovids: http://binoculars.com/products/brunton-epoch-8-15x35-zoom-31560.html. Again, quality is very high. Leica binoculars are among the world's best.
Q2: What is the weight and the length of the Bushnell 10-22x50 Weatherproof Zoom binoculars? Thanks!!
A: Bushnell's Legacy 10-22x50 Weatherproof Zoom binoculars are 7.75 inches long. They weigh 2.4 pounds with lens covers in place.
Q3: What is "clamshell," ie. the difference between the two legacy 10-22x50 binoculars. One is listed as clamshell and the other isnt. David Prior
A: Clamshell binoculars have the porro-prism "dogleg" enclosed within the body. That gives the binoculars a clamshell shape, unlike that "dogleg" shape of traditional porros.
