SportScope Zoom Golf Periscope
The VP-ZOOM Sportscope is the newest and top-of-the-line product manufactured through this company. This portable hand-held periscope adds a 4X to 9X Variable Power Zoom Lens feature to the normal binocular-type magnified view. Sportscopes consist of quality glass lenses and prisms, a focusing eyepiece, height extension system, detachable handle, belt hook, carry case and now the Variable Power Zoom Lens system.
The outer casing of the Sportscope is made of a high-quality aluminum alloy, which has been treated with a special process. Highly polished glass prisms and glass lenses, and now the zoom feature, clearly magnify the object being viewed with a power range from 4X to 9X. The eyepiece housing and detachable handle are the only parts made of plastic.
With the periscope height being easily adjustable, the user can see over and around crowds and obstacles for a much improved view, now with adjustable magnification. The eyepiece is turned to focus for distance and the wide diopter range makes it suitable for those who are far or nearsighted. The eyepiece rubber cup may be folded back for use with glasses, and the new belt hook allows the Sportscope to be comfortably carried hands-free.

I expected something bigger at first but like they say, big things come in small packages. This Periscope is so clear and the zoom feature is excellent. I think I got my moneys worth after only a few days.

I ordered this for looking at hard to reach home projects. This is just a plain average product. I ordered this because I didn't want a peice of junk, but at the same time I didn't want to spend $250+ dollars for something high end and obviously a periscope isn't that. It doesn't feel like garbage, but the quality isn't going to wow you, but I guess that is expected with the price tag. Made in China like almost everything. Carry belt loop handle is rusted metal wire. I will probably make a more sturdy one myself, or sand and paint with duracoat. Handle is cheap plastic.
Overall: Product works as expected. Good eye relief. Fine for common everyday use (golf/chores). If you have a job such as police/military work, I'd recommend getting something higher quality.

I boughg the periscope for use as an inspection tool for my environmental services firm. It alllows me to inspect confined spaces like heating ducts without entering them, and often without needing a ladder.
It also has use as a tactical periscope .
For illumination, I tape a small high i tape a small high intensity LED flashlight to the objective prism.

Q1: What's the max that it extends?
A: Up to 27.85" is the max extension.
Q2: Are there other periscopes with less magnification? I am looking for a max. 2x magnification periscope.
A: Unfortunately we do not carry a periscope that has 2x magnification.
Q3: Does this periscope attach to binoculars or is it stand alone?
A: The Sportscope is for use by itself. It cannot attach to binoculars.
