The laser rangefinder, built into each new and improved Geovid HD, is now capable of accurately measuring distances of up to 1400 yards (1300 metres) and in doing so, takes the guess work out of range assessment.
Leica's legendary optics, have also been improved with the use of Flouride glass for even better definition, brilliance and contrast resulting in a perfect "two in one" tool for the modern stalker. In addition the new AquaDuraTM lens coating repels water and dirt to make them even easier to clean and use in extreme weather conditions.
Leica was the first optical specialist to combine high-performance binoculars and a laser range finder in one especially compact set of binoculars. They enable the user also to switch to scanning mode to allow constant tracking of a moving object with the rangefinder function.
The Leica 15x56 feature a 56 mm objective lens, improved light transmission from the new Flouride glass and water repellant AquaDuraTM lens coating.
The Leica GEOVID 15x56 HD is optimised for twilight and low light conditions via their 56 mm lens diameter, and is unparallelled in terms of lightness and compactness. They deliver images that are extremely rich in contrast, colour neutral, and sharp from edge to edge. They open up a new dimension in viewing and identifying the finest details over long distances - especially in poor lighting conditions.
The optical, electronic and mechanical technologies are perfectly integrated in the pioneer of laser rangefinding, the Geovid HD. An integrated scanning mode allows single measurements every two seconds, which is particularly advantageous when tracking objects in motion. The outward appearance of the compact and ergonomic Geovid HD models is similar to that of conventional binoculars. The differences are in the details: fluoride lenses guarantee maximum colour fidelity and contrast. The Geovids therefore offer a bright, crystal-clear and pin-sharp image, even under the most adverse light conditions.
The benefits at a glance:
Leica Geovid HD 56
Thanks to their superior light-gathering power, the Geovid HD 56 models are particularly suitable for viewing well into the hours of twilight. Precise distance determination is guaranteed in any weather without any compromise in their compact form or ergonomic properties.
