Q1: can this unit be mounted on a tri-pod?
A: Celestron's Vista Pix digital camera binoculars are tripod-adaptable.
Q2: Please compare the Celestron Vistapix 8 x 32 and the newer 8 x 22. Which one is better and why? Many thanks. We want to purchase one of these.
A: The Celestron VistaPix 8x22 3.1Mp has sound recording capability, while the 8x32 3.1Mp version does not. However, the 8x32 will deliver brighter binocular images than the 8x22 because of its larger objective lenses. If sound recording is very important to you, you might want to choose the 8x22. However, if binoculars importance is paramount, then the 8x32s will be the top choice.
Q3: Are the digital images in focus? What is the downside to these digital binoculars?
A: Yes the digital pictures are in focus. The camera has focus settings to meet your picture taking needs. There is no downside to these binoculars. They create a very easy way to carry a digital camera and binoculars around your neck in one convenient unit. The VistaPix binoculars are a must for traveling and vacations.
