After reading a lot of reviews, I was going to buy a Nikon Action Extreme 10x50. To get a feel of it, I went to a local scope-city store to try one out. For comparison, I looked through one Fujinon and two Leica models too. While the Nikon one is much better than a Meade 10x25 I had, where I can see one real circular view with both eyes instead of two partially overlapping ones with my little Meade; the Fujinon is way better than the Nikon I tried, I feel the quality of the image is as good as the much more expensive Leica (over $2000) models. Finally I decided not to buy any binocular until I save enough for the Fujinon.I bought the Fujinon for about a month now, have used it to look at stars from backyard and on the airplane, and also brought it out for casual sightseeing too. It shows a lot of stars but I find it difficult to hold it steady for a long time. On the plane I lean it against the window and then can see a stable M42 clearly. I plan to get a tripod adapter and a tripod for it soon.The one I got from [...] does not have a case. After reading some reviews from [...] I bought a Wii case, not perfect but it will fit.
