Q1: Does a case also come with these? Thanks!

A: Yes, these come with a case and a strap.

Q2: I own a pair of these outstanding binoculars, but i really want a pair of "extended rubber eye enclosures" that keep out the light from the corners of my eyes. They are available ofe Stieners and other high-end ocean binoculars. Are they available ofr these? I really need some help with the bright light. Thanks, Jim

A: Tasco actually does not make the extended or "winged" eyecups for their binoculars. You may want to give them a call directly though because you never know they may be able to direct you to some that will work with the offshore series. You can reach tehm at 800-423-3537

Q3: Does this pair of binoculars have auto-focus? I had a set of your binoculars for at least 10 years with auto-focus, that my wife lost on a recent vacation. Could you recommend a lightweight set that is auto-focus?

A: This binocular has individual focus eyepieces. once you have set the focus for your eyes basically everything 50 yds and beyond is automatically in focus for your eyes. As for a binocular that is specifically autofocus there is not one made that has a compass.

Q4: CAN YOU TURN OFF THE RANGEFINDING CAPABILITY?

A: No. The range-finding reticle is part of the optical system.

Q5: Do you carry the battery that goes into this pair of binoculars?

A: Unfortunately, we don't carry that battery. You should be able to obtain one, though, from your local hardware store or photo shop.

Tasco 7x50 OffShore Waterproof Binoculars with Compass & Rangefinder Reticle

Item# BUP253

Our premier navigational marine binocular adds Rubicon-coated objective lenses for glare-reduction and increased contrast.
The Offshore series is what many seasoned old salts believe to be the best pair of marine binoculars on the market. We happen to agree. The steady 7x magnification and large 50mm objective lenses - the most common size for marine applications - offer excellent resolution and detail even in low light. Quality BaK-4 prisms deliver an extremely bright, clear picture - critical when scanning for navigational markers, other boats or feeding fish. Dry nitrogen-purged and sealed with O-rings, Offshore binoculars are completely waterproof in both salt- and freshwater. And the ergonomic, porro prism design features a rubber, no-slip grip section, making them comfortable to hold and easier to hold on to should the weather get rough.
