Although the binoculars may be used with glasses, the individual dioptre adjustments and eye cups make use without glasses better and more comfortable. It's easy to adjust the binoculars, correctly and repeatably, for users with different distances between their pupils and different dioptres. There are bright, easily visible, marks on the body to enable you to reproduce any setting from memory.
There is no focus adjustment for this pair of binoculars; consequently, it is important to set the dioptres correctly for each eye for each user.
It's hard to figure out that this device uses LR43 batteries because that information is not on the device or the skimpy manual. The batteries are used to illuminate the compass at night, and either the batteries that were shipped with the product were dead on arrival, or there is something wrong with the binoculars. Fortunately, I can do without the compass in low light.
Yes, you may use this pair of glasses in very low light because the 50 mm lenses bring in an amazingly bright view.
The binoculars may be soaked with no ill effect and the case is flimsy, synthetic fabric but adequate for storage. The rangefinder reticle and rotary slide rule work well together. The rotary slide is synthetic and does not have a smooth, silky feel of high-end, slide rules.
For the price, the Barska 7x50 Waterproof Floating Binocular with Compass and Rangefinder Reticle is sturdy, floats, and it's a pleasure to look at very bright views, even in low light, through the large 50mm lenses.

Comments about Barska 7x50mm Waterproof Floating Binocular with Compass and Rangefinder Reticle:
I am on the water a lot in the Central Florida area as a member of the USCG Auxiliary and personal recreation. Although I use them on patrols, I bought these for my own use and this does not in any way reflect an endorsement by the U.S.C.G. or the Auxiliary. The opinions expressed here are my own.
First, I've been looking to replace my old 7x50 binoculars from a well-known brand with a set with the built-in compass and range-finder capabilities. Most sets I'd looked at were much higher priced, yet weren't any better from a performance viewpoint than these. The optics are bright and sharp. The compass easy to read as is the range reticle markings. They are infinitely adjustable in order to ensure comfort of fit and good focus at close and far ranges. My only negative is that the eyecups could have been more contoured versus the standard round ones to fit better around the face. They aren't the lightest binoculars I've seen, but they are comfortable enough to use for long periods. I like the attached front lens caps. They appear well built with shaped and cushioned rubber like material where your hands grip to ensure a good grip. I haven't used them yet at night so I won't make any comment about that. They seem plenty robust for use in the marine environment with the benefit of being water resistant and floating. After a couple of weeks of using them I'm quite pleased with their performance for the price.

Comments about Barska 7x50mm Waterproof Floating Binocular with Compass and Rangefinder Reticle:
The range finder has large, readable numbers from 1 to 7 in asending order. Compass works well with large readable numbers in units of 10. However, there is no way to adjust for deviation and the red night light is too bright and washes out the compass readings. The lense quality is excellent with sharp clear images. The unit is very well balanced and medium weight for binoculars. The sale price and this unit are a good match. Would not pay full price for this one but feel I got my money worth. :)

Comments about Barska 7x50mm Waterproof Floating Binocular with Compass and Rangefinder Reticle:
The view these binoculars provide is incredible-even at night. The only thing is don't be deceived by the picture because they are much bigger than they appear. Overall I am very happy with them though.

Comments about Barska 7x50mm Waterproof Floating Binocular with Compass and Rangefinder Reticle:
Compass froze on first outing. Manual with unit is generic and not for this unit, when contacted about this, cust service said they would send a specific manual via email, they did not.
I would choose another brand.
