I was skeptical, I had never heard of the name but took a chance. The binoculars were just what I wanted. They are of good quality and perform great on the water - I was able to read a bouy number from a safe distance in 4 foot waves. As stated before, user manual was non-existant but I would not hold that against the product. It takes both batteries for the compass to work (positive side up) and it auto shuts off!

I had to send them back for a new pair. The right eye did not focus.

I have a Fuginon binocular with a left eye compass that I paid $550.00 for over 20 years ago; This Barska WP binocular is every bit equal to the Fuginon.

Just the right pair of binoculars for a great price. I was skeptical about their quality when I made the purchase. I was surprise at the quality of the lens and its features.

        Customer Q & A

Q1: What are the dimensions of these binoculars?

A: The dimensions of this binocular are 7.5Lx6Wx2.5H.

Q2: What is the maximum rangefinding distance?

A: The range finder option is actually a reticle that you will see when you look through the binocular. The verticle scale (reticle) visible through the left half of the binocular, above the compass display, allows you to calculate distance to an object if you know its height, or to calculate the height of an object if you know its distance from you. Each mark on the verticle scale has a value of 5 MIL (1MIL is equivalent to an angle that can determine an object one meter in height at a distance of 1000 meters). Therefore, if a navigation chart gives the height of an object, by sighting on it and counting the number of MIL's, you can determine how far away it is. Here are two formulas: To measure distance when the height is known: Objective Height (m) ý Scale Reading X 1000m = Distance in Meters To measure object height when the distance is known: Distance (m) X Scale Reading ý 1000 = Object Height in Meters
