Description

Super power for long-distance surveying
Sport the power of a small spotting scope, and enjoy comfortable viewing with binoculars you could easily carry to the end of the trail. The 10x42 Ranger SRT totes the extra magnification you could use for scanning distant bluffs for big horn sheep, or studying shorebirds and other waterfowl from afar. Expect bright images with true colors because of:

  • Superior Resolution Transmission coatings improve image details, resolution and light transmission.
  • Phase correction for enhanced resolution, contrast and overall sharpness.
  • Fully multi-coated optics for maximum brightness and true colors.
  • High quality BaK-4 prisms for brightness and edge-to-edge sharpness.
Already revered by serious birders as superb binoculars for birding and nature observation, the popular Rangers are even better with Superior Resolution Transmission (SRT) coatings for brighter, more well-defined images from sun up to sun down.

As good or better than our 8X42 Nikon's

These were a replacement for 8x42[...] which we lost. It is hard to directly compare because of the difference in strength but The quality seems as good or better than the[...]. I use them for birding and there is a trade-off with the higher power because the narrower field makes it more difficult to locate the bird but, once you have it in view, the detail is much greater.
