Q1: I am wanting to know if theses would be good to use if you are one handed I see that they are not tht heavy, but at this time I do not have a tripod....But they are not as big as the 20x80 are but I want to know if using these to look at the stars are the good enough for that I read that you had to be careful on ones that are a smaller size body wise with this type of smaller body than the ones like the 20x80 that are was to big and heavy for one hand holding...thank you for any help that you can be.....I was also looing at the perma foucus ones you have in the 7x50 and the 10x50
A: With the magnification of this binocular at 15x the naked eye, i would not suggest using these as a hand-held binocular especially one handed. Because the magnification is so high every movement is magnified 15 times which makes for a jittery image. Generally a jittery image is not the best to use for astonomy as the stars etc... will appear streaky and it is hard to focus.
Q2: what is the field of view on these 15x70
A: the field of view is 183 ft at 1000yds or 3.5 degrees.
