These binoculars were purchased for my 3 year old son who pretends he is on adventures. They are light weight, very sturdy, and very easy for him to use. He has dropped them hundreds of times already and they still look new and work perfectly. I also think they would work well for casual birdwatchers sitting on their back porch.

This product was purchased for our four-year-old son, and the "focusing" mechanism broke after 5 minutes, causing both eyepieces to separate from the rest of the binoculars. The product was inexpensive so my expectations were not high. Even still, if a product breaks within five minutes of use, it would seem to suggest that the manufacturer's quality standards leave much to be desired.

I got these for my 4 yr old nephew for his birthday. He was so excited he actually squeaked! It was the #1 present!

My son is 4 years old and has a hard time focusing these. Best for kids 7 or 8 and older. Compact and durable though with nice lenses.
