Q1: Dear sir: I was looking at these binoculars for my seven-year-old son. I saw what I think is the exact same Bushnell binoculars in the Highlights catalog and it said they were sized for kids. Is this binocular you have on your Web site suitable for a child of 7 years old. The Highlights catalog is their Holiday 2004 catalog, page 22. Thank you, Tom
A: This binocular is definitely suitable for a 7 yr old child, very small and very durable.
Q2: I AM GOING ON A AFRICAN SAFARI AND AS I DONT KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT BINOCULARS,WHICH ONE WOULD YOU RECOMMEND.AS THIS IS THE ONLY TIME I PROBABLY WILL USE THEM I WOULD LIKE TO KEEP THE PRICE LOW. THANK YOU BJ
A: This is an excellent choice although for a Safari i would recommend a binocular with a slightly higher magnification like an 8X
Q3: We are going to the beach and I would like to get a some for my 6 year old daughter to look out at the ocean or if we take a dolphin cruise. Would these be ok? Otherwise she just likes to take them if we go walking in woods etc.
A: The 4x30 Powerview Lite Vision Compact will work just fine, although you'll need to remind her that the binoculars are not waterproof and can't take a dunking. Another binocular that's a little more powerful is our "house brand" Binoculars.com 8x21 Compact. It has double the magnifying power of the Powerview at virtually the same price. It, too, is not waterproof. Here's the URL; just paste it into your browser's address window: http://binoculars.com/products/binoculars-com-8x21-compact-16243.html. Either pair would do a good job for your daughter.
