Steiner 8x56 Nighthunter XP Binoculars

The redesigned Steiner Nighthunter XP line offers the brightest array of HD glass Steiner has ever put into a roof-prism binocular.  These binoculars not only bring your subject closer, it will appear considerably brighter with more contrast and natural HD color than you've ever seen.

The Steiner Nighthunter XP binoculars are so bright and remarkable that you start earlier and stay later because no other optics can deliver the dramatically brighter images these XP lenses produce.  Steiner's hard coated NANO-Protection hydrophobic lens coating means you'll see more in rain, sleet or snow.

The Nighthunter XP delivers exceptional light transmission across a very wide part of the human eye color spectrum making your eyes more nocturnal so you can see greater detail in low light or even darkness.

Steiner's specialty is the production of optical glass and components.  Matching lens performance to the user's eyes is especially important with the new Nighthunter XP binoculars.

Superior performance at dusk and dawn - the most critical times of the day.  Your eyes and senses are sharpest when finely tuned to the surrounding landscape.  The new Nighthunter XP binoculars unlock the darkness, letting you penetrate the shadows and spot your trophy in any light conditions - all in a compact, lightweight new HD roof-prism design that is durable, waterproof and fits perfectly in your hands.  All Nighthunter XP binoculars offer a 30-year limited warranty.

For conditions that require the optimal low-light performance and a wide viewing field, the 8x56 delivers incredibly bright images.  Perfect for spotting eastern whitetails in wooded terrain or mule deer in wide open country.  The Steiner Nighthunter XP's profiled, side-shield eye cups allow your eyes to focus and adjust to darkness and twist down for full eye relief with eye glasses.

Target Group:  Experienced hunters who rely on quality optics to spot game in the early   morning and late evening. World-class optics with worldwide appeal from   African plains game hunters to North American whitetail hunters.

Unique Feature/Benefits:

Larger 56mm objective lenses — The larger objectives are more effective at gathering light. Take full advantage of every minute of light from early dawn to final dusk.

Diamond Night Len Coating – An exclusive Steiner coats that combines rare fluorides and other minerals that provides maximum light transmission over the entire spectrum of light. Images are razor-sharp with maximum contrast — right to the edge. Contours are always clear-cut and plainly visible, with light scatter cut to a minimum. These factors guarantee best viewing results even in the worst light conditions.

Common Feature / Benefits:

Roof prism design — easier to pack, easier to hold that traditional poro prism designs.

High definition optics — images are sharp from edge to edge and highly specialized coatings incorporate rare-earth formulations of titanium, fluorite and other mineral substrates to provide best in class light transmission.

Di-electric mirror and phase correction — more available light is transmitted through the binocular to the user’s eyes and the images have true color fidelity without shifting hues.

Optimal field of view — another benefit of the 56mm objective is 400’ field of view.

Center Focus System— Larger knob bring objects into focus faster with minimal turns of the knob. The ability to focus on objects as close as 6 ft. makes is an advantage in thick cover and leafy environments.

Comfort and balance — serious hunters spend a lot of time glassing. Rubber armoring, gel pads for your thumbs and good balance eliminate hand fatigue.

Ergo Flex Eyecups — At dawn and dusk the probability of side light or glare can be high. The contoured eyecups eliminate side light, wind and dust. With a simple twist the eyecups can be adjusted to accommodate sunglasses or eyeglasses so the user can take advantage of the full field of view.

NBR Armoring — Life in the field can be rough for your optics and rubber armoring protects the chassis and lenses, reduces noise and provides a sure grip in wet weather and a comfortable one in heat or cold.

Lightweight design — extremely light for their size, these binos will never be a pain in the neck. They are comfortable to wear when hiking/still hunting.

Neoprene neck strap — combined with the lighter weight, the neck strap provides cushion and comfort.

Rain Protection Cap — An improved design makes this rain cap easier to attach and it will stay in place so rain, snow and dust cannot accumulate on the ocular lenses.

ClickLok System — Sometimes a neck strap is just in the way. Attaching and removing the neck strap is a snap with the push-button release system. The locks are positioned so that the binos always hang straight and not at an angle.

Quality Carrying Case — A padded carrying case make it easy to safely store your binoculars when not in use.

Makrolon Housing — Only Steiner offers a polycarbonate chassis that is extremely durable, impervious to rust, oils, acids and all the abuse that years of hunting can bring. It will withstand 5 Gs of force and not crack or break.

Nitrogen Pressure System — Steiner uses a vacuum to remove all oxygen and moisture from the binocular then uses pressure to fill the lens barrels with nitrogen so the binocular will never fog up. Extreme temperature swings from freezing cold to desert heat will not cause condensation to form.

Waterproof — Never worry about a little rain or snow because the positive nitrogen pressure makes it a harder for water to enter the binocular even when submerged to depths of 15 ft.

About Steiner
From its humble, post-WWII beginnings, Steiner has become one of the largest manufacturers of high-quality optics. Optics pioneer Karl Steiner established Steiner Optik GmbH in 1947, offering products from small cameras to binoculars and special lenses. As the company grew, it increasingly focused its production on professional high-quality binoculars. Steiner innovations include rubber armoring, the first binoculars ever with an integrated compass, the first binocular with special optical coating to protect against harmful UV radiation, the pocket-size binocular, and the new Predator lens coating to increase contrast of animals against wooded backgrounds.

Today, Karl Steiner's son Carl continues to strengthen and develop the company's position as a world leader in binocular production, utilizing the highest level of technology and setting high standards for future products with all binocular manufacturers. Steiner is located in Moorestown, N.J.
