Steiner 10x26 Predator Pro Binoculars

The 10x26 Predator Pro binoculars are designed for big game hunting and rugged outdoor use. The high power light-weight binoculars have a strong aluminum housing with a specially designed, rugged armor covering that insures a firm grip.

The large center focus wheel is perfect for operation even in cold, wet weather.

The green-tinted Predator lenses filter out the colors of haze and foliage and amplify the visibility of colors common to wildlife and game animals.

The light weight Predator Pro binoculars incorporate the newest Steiner PC-5 optics and are fully multi-coated on every lens surface throughout the system, delivering game-sensing contrast and exceptional light transmission.

All Predator models come with a Limited 10 Year Warranty.

The Predator Pocket binoculars are ideal for rugged hunting environments or any outdoor endeavor where walking and climbing are involved, regardless of the season or weather. With their waterproof seals, users won't have to worry about rain, snow or changes in temperature.

About Steiner
From its humble, post-WWII beginnings, Steiner has become one of the largest manufacturers of high-quality optics. Optics pioneer Karl Steiner established Steiner Optik GmbH in 1947, offering products from small cameras to binoculars and special lenses. As the company grew, it increasingly focused its production on professional high-quality binoculars. Steiner innovations include rubber armoring, the first binoculars ever with an integrated compass, the first binocular with special optical coating to protect against harmful UV radiation, the pocket-size binocular, and the new Predator lens coating to increase contrast of animals against wooded backgrounds.

Today, Karl Steiner's son Carl continues to strengthen and develop the company's position as a world leader in binocular production, utilizing the highest level of technology and setting high standards for future products with all binocular manufacturers. Steiner is located in Moorestown, N.J.

Comments about Steiner 10x26 Predator Pro Compact Binoculars:

I first purchased the 8X22 for myself. I liked them so well I purchased 2 pair of the 10X26 for my son's christmas gifts. I ordered another pair of the 10X26 for myself but the order was canceled for security reasons. I have to figure that out now.
The light weight and compact feature makes them so convenent that I can carry multiple pairs so that everyone can be observing the same items of intrest at once.
The quality is not compromised for the convenence.
Time will tell how the hinges hold up. That has been a problem with other compacts that I have owned.

Comments about Steiner 10x26 Predator Pro Compact Binoculars:

I already own the Merlin 8x42 and am looking for something lighter and more compact for hunting trips. The Predator 10x26 fits this very well.

I tried it in the store and look forward to using this in the field.

              Customer Q & A

              1 - 5 of 6
                  1   2

Q1: May I use it with glasses on?

A: Steiner 10x26 Predator Pro compact binoculars have eye relief of only 11mm, so you would likely NOT be able to use them with eyeglasses on. You'll need eye relief of at least 15mm.

Q2: Do the Predator 10x26 bring in enough light for the early morning hunt and the evening hunt when it is dark?

A: Though Steiner binoculars are among the very best in the world during low-light conditions, no 10x26 binocular will have great low-light performance. A 26mm objective lens doesn't let in a great deal of light to begin with, and 10X magnification reduces image brightness significantly. Good low-light binoculars usually have objectives with a 40mm diameter or larger.

Q3: Do these binoculars have pull out eye pieces to use with glasses?

A: Steiner 10x26 Predator Pro Compact binoculars have fold-down eyecups instead of pull-out adjustment. Eye relief is 11mm, which is too short for use with most eyeglasses.

Q4: It says these are roof prisms - but what kind of roof prism?

A: Steiner 10x26 Predator Pro Compact binoculars have BaK-4 prisms.

Q5: What are the dimensions of the Steiner compact binoculars?

              A: The dimensions of the Steiner 10x26 Predator Binoculars are 7.6 x 5.6 x 3 inches.
