      I bought these glasses for a field ornithology class in college. My professor with a PhD related to birding recommended I look at a pair of these for the value. After researching for a few days I decided on the Alpens and have been very happy. These binoculars are well made and have great clarity and detail. I am not an optics expert but I can tell when something works. For the price I think these are hard if not impossible to beat. These binoculars have not held me back yet in class and have been a joy to use.

      Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

        This is my first pair of quality bino's and they are great. My friends have even complimented the quality, clarity and ruggedness of these glasses. I know they are not the most expensive but for the money I am more than pleased.
