The Barska 8x32 WP Atlantic Green is a high-quality product at an affordable price, featuring many of the same qualities found in more expensive models. This 18.91-ounce unit features a large field of view of 375 feet at 1,000 yards and a close focus of 10 feet. Precise focusing is easily achieved with the large knurled center-focus knob. When used for extended periods of time, you will find comfort with the twist-up rubber eye cups.         I picked this pair because it was favorably rated for birdwatching on another website. It has 'twist-up' eyecups. If you wear eyeglasses you leave them turned down, if you do not, you twist them up for easy viewing. The rear lens is huge. By its size I thought it must be at least 5MM but it is 4MM. This is really good size for a midsize binocular. For daylight viewing you want at least 3MM in any size binocular.
        The image is crisp and it is easy to focus. This is a mid size binocular that gives me the luxurious feel and easy of viewing that are characteristic in full size binoculars.
        The bad news is a neck-strap. It seems to be the same neck-strap used on many BARSKA binoculars. You will have to buy a neck-strap. Add that to your cost. It seems to be made of cheap polyester and is as thick as a shoelace - a thin shoelace. Others had complained about the neck-strap but none described it in detail. The binocular case is is a cheap polyester job with almost no padding. It is impossible to insert the binoculars in them without the neck-strap brackets getting caught up on the case.
        I would recommend this binocular to a hunter or fisherman, who needs the waterproof feature. The mid-size is an asset to the hunter. For everyone else, I recommend avoid roof prism binoculars. For the same money, a porro prism binocular is a better deal.
