Description

The new and improved Nikon 10x25 Premier LXL Binoculars have earned accolades from birders, hunters, and optical experts alike. At just 10.5 ounces, this new model weighs 19% less than the original, while maintaining unmatched optical quality, tactile ergonomics, and extreme waterproof, fog-proof, and shock-proof ruggedness. The new magnesium alloy body in black is just as tough and durable as its aluminum predecessor. To further reduce weight, Nikon took the best qualities of the LX lens system and rebuilt it using lead-free and arsenic-free Eco Glass. In addition to being substantially lighter, Eco Glass is also much friendlier to the environment.

The Premier LXL features new vinyl chloride-free rubber armor, providing an improved tactile gripping surface. Among its features are 10x magnification, 25mm objective lens diameter, roof prism, and click-stop turn-and-slide eyecups with soft silicon rubber surfaces, translating to improved versatility for users both with and without eyeglasses. You need only select the position that feels most comfortable and offers the best view. It has an exit pupil of 2.5mm, center focus, close-focusing distance of 10.4 feet, and 6.3 relative brightness.

Since it was founded in 1917, Nikon has been a leader in optics and imaging. The company has maintained an unwavering commitment to trustworthiness and creativity, as well as meeting the needs - and exceeding the expectations - of its customers. The 10x25 Premier LXL Binoculars are no exception.

Gift for my husband - he loves them. Nice size, seemingly great quality - to date we have found them to live up to all of their specs.[...]

    Very good

Comments about Nikon 10x25mm Premier Binoculars:

I tried the Nikon 10x25 Premier LXL (called HG-L DCF 10x25 in Europe) in a shop. The image is very good, brighter (in daylight) and sharper than the Nikon Monarch 8x42, with no noticeably difference to a more expensive compact Zeiss binocular.

The 10x25 Premier LXL is well suited for my glasses, much better than the cheap Nikon Sportstar 10x25, with which my field-of-view is very limited.

The focus wheel is located at the front, which is strange at first, but I think you would get used to this.

Comments about Nikon 10x25mm Premier Binoculars:

Very nice compact binocular. I gave them as a gift to my wife. I own the Zeiss Victory 10x25. They are similar quality overall. I like the larger ocular lenses on the NIKON. They are a bit easier to use with glasses, and the controls are smoother than the Zeiss. The Zeiss glasses seem more ruggedly constructed, are 1 oz. lighter, and MAY have SLIGHTLY better image brightness, and sharpness. I think I like the Zeiss a bit more, but Consumer Reports preferred the Nikon. They are both great glasses and I don't think you would go wrong with either one. They are worth the money, if you like fine, rugged and compact optics.

    Customer Q & A

Q1: I have a catalogue from Nikon which describes a compact high grade model as 10X25HG DCF. I am interested in this model, but note that your website describes a model called 10X25 Premier LX. My question is, are these the same model and if so why are there two designations? Also, do you carry the Zeiss Victory 10X25 Compact model? Thanks for your help.

A: we definitely carry all zeiss available. As for the 10x25 HG DCF those are only available in europe the American version is the premier LX
