Comments about Olympus Trooper 10x50mm DPS I Binoculars:

Very pleased with the 10x50 Trooper. These binoculars are made in China, but don't let that fool you. These are quality optics. They have a substantial feel to them and compare very favorably to Nikons in the same price range. Focusing is very smooth and the body is built like a tank. Highly recommended for general use. For the price, you can't go wrong.

    Customer Q & A

Q1: Are these binoculars considered Night and Day?

A: These are not a night vision binocular but because of the large objective lens size they work very well in extremely low light situations.

Q2: 1)The picture of DPS I 10x50 seems to be of the pic of 10X50 DPS-R Series, Pls clarify ! 2) How good is the 10x50 for Bird Watching ,How good it is for watching birds in Evening ? 3) Does it have Lens coatings & Ajustable Eye pieces ?

A: the DPS R was discontinued by Olympus and the DPS I is the replacement version they are basically the same binocular with a few optical differences which is why the image looks the same. It is a nice binocular for birdwatching though an 8x40 tends to be better due to the wider field of view. The lenses are fully multi-coated and they have twist up eyecups.

Q3: I would like to know the weight and the measures of this binocular?

A: Weight of the Olympus 10x50 Troopers is 28.6 ounces; dimensions are 7.2x6.7x2.8 inches.

Q4: Do you know if this have BAK4 or BA7 lenses?

A: This binocular has BaK 7 prisms.
