These binos have great optics, bright and sharp to the edges. They are moderate weight and can be held up for 10 minutes within much strain. I got a tripod adaptor and a monopod for extended viewing. As others have said, the lens caps fall off easily, so secure them right after removing from case. Also, right eye diopter focus is very hard to turn. Other than that, these are great for the price.

Rubber exterior makes it durable but a little
heavy. It will resist water and dirt, but it's not waterproof. It's good for the beach or on a boat. The strap is strong, it won't fall off your neck. The central focuser is a little stiff, but it's ok. The focuser on the right eye is way too stiff, it can't be changed easily, therefor two people can't share it. I have big hands and it's easy to grip. The (Pentax made) tripod adapter raises it up high, so use a very strong tripod and you'll be ok. There's chromatic aberration when used for close up viewing. The 12 x power makes it great for far away terrestrial viewing. It's good for astronomy too. The caps keep falling off, throw them away. The case is good. It's heavy to carry around all day. The eyepieces are wide and I don't poke them into my eye.

Overall, If you have a strong tripod or if you don't have to hold it for too long, it's great. It's very durable. It fits well in my big hands. Get the 12x model, not the 10x.

The Pentax PCF WPII line truly is one to remember. The quality of workmanship shines through. Truly comfortable to hold, very light weight, well crafted and coated glass.

Used these to view day and night targets ranging from birds and butterflies in the yard to the Orion Nubula at night. Great views of all were had. Not hard to keep steady either, even with the 12x magnification though I recommend a nice reclining chair for stargazing. You will steady your view big time, and save yourself some bad neck aches in the morning..hehe

I have no complaints with these binoculars. Highly recommended.

These binoculars are a great value for a casual user. They appear to be solidly built, have decent optics and are user friendly. The eyepiece lens cover has a loose fit, and the case could use a carrying strap.
